Christopher Adams, M.D.

Dr. Adams is board-certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He has also completed a fellowship in clinical immunology and rheumatology from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

In addition to serving as Chief of Rheumatology at EARC, Dr. Adams is a member of the clinical faculty at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan. He is also a consultant for the Alabama Society of Rheumatic Diseases.

I became a rheumatologist in order to apply my research and training in internal medicine to chronic autoimmune and rheumatologic disease conditions. I have a wide variety of experience, ranging from organizing, prototyping, and leading a rapid response military field medical team, clinical faculty teaching experience at several medical schools, conducting clinical research, and serving as a liaison for dialogues between the state rheumatic disease association and managed care as well as government entities. Helping patients overcome the debilitating misery and life-limitations of autoimmune arthritic conditions is what keeps me dedicated to my profession.
